What is tode?
+
tode is an analytics tool for Figma plugins and widgets. You add the SDK to your plugin, call a function when something happens, and the dashboard shows daily active users, sessions, actions, custom metrics and countries.
Why not Google Analytics for a Figma plugin?
+
Browser analytics tools rely on cookies, page URLs and scripts loaded from a CDN. A Figma plugin runs in a sandboxed iframe with a null origin and no page navigation, so those tools miscount users and sessions. tode identifies the user and the session through the Figma plugin API instead.
How long does setup take?
+
A few minutes. Create an account, register the plugin to get an API key, install the package, initialize it with the key and call trackAction() where you want an event. The first events appear in the dashboard as soon as the plugin runs.
Which frameworks does the SDK support?
+
There are adapters for React, Vue, Angular and Svelte, plus a framework-free core for vanilla JavaScript and TypeScript. All of them send the same events.
What can I track?
+
Named actions (a button click, an export, a replaced font), actions with a numeric metric (layers processed, time spent), and sessions with their length. From these tode derives active users, returning users, retention, feature adoption, activity by hour, the Figma editor in use and the country.
Does tode work with FigJam, Dev Mode and Slides?
+
Yes. The SDK works wherever a Figma plugin or widget runs, and the dashboard splits usage by editor: Figma Design, Dev Mode, FigJam and Slides.
What data is collected about my users?
+
The action names and metric values you send, the Figma user ID (only when your manifest requests it), the editor type and a country code derived from the request IP. The IP address itself is not stored. tode sets no cookies and never reads document contents, file names or layer data.
What counts as an event?
+
Every tracked action, every action with a metric and every session counts as one event. The monthly quota is shared by all plugins on the account.
Does one subscription cover several plugins?
+
Yes. One subscription covers the whole account: 1 plugin on Free, 3 on Starter, 10 on Pro and 30 on Business.
Is there a free plan?
+
Yes. Free includes 1 plugin, 2,000 events a month, 2 event types and 7 days of history. No card is needed.
What happens when I reach the event limit?
+
New events are dropped until the next monthly period or an upgrade. The plugin keeps working: the SDK never throws, it only logs to the console. You get an email at 80% and at 100% of the quota.
How do payments and cancellation work?
+
LemonSqueezy processes payments in USD and adds taxes at checkout. You upgrade, downgrade or cancel from the billing page. After cancelling, the plan stays active until the end of the paid period.
